Getting awesome stuff ready! 🎮
A clear, step-by-step path from "what is code?" to building real projects. No prior experience needed. No parent coding knowledge required.
No credit card • Self-paced • Ages 4-12
Our approach is based on decades of learning science research. Every design choice is intentional.
No guesswork — a structured roadmap from zero coding knowledge to writing real programs
Your child moves at their own speed. No pressure, no deadlines, no falling behind
Every concept is practiced immediately through hands-on coding challenges, not lectures
Parent dashboard shows exactly what your child has learned, where they excel, and what needs review
Key concepts automatically resurface at optimal intervals to build long-term memory
Kids must demonstrate understanding before moving on — no skipping ahead with gaps in knowledge
Four clear steps from zero to confident coder. Each step builds on the last.
Before code comes thinking. Kids learn patterns, sequences, decomposition, and logical reasoning through play.
Block-based programming introduces real CS concepts without typing. Drag, drop, and see immediate results.
Transition from blocks to text. Write simple programs in Python with guided typing and auto-completion.
Build complete projects: websites, games, apps. Apply all concepts in creative, self-directed projects.
There's no single 'best' age — it depends on the approach. Ages 4-5 can start with computational thinking games (no screens needed). Ages 5-7 thrive with visual block coding. Ages 8+ can begin real text-based programming. The key is matching the teaching method to the child's developmental stage.
Start with our assessment quiz (takes 2 minutes). It evaluates your child's age, interests, and any prior experience, then places them at the perfect starting point. Most beginners start with visual puzzles that teach sequencing and logic — no typing or reading required for the youngest learners.
Kids can write their first working program within 15 minutes of starting! But truly 'learning to code' is an ongoing journey. Within 3-6 months of regular practice (15-30 min/day), most kids can independently solve coding puzzles and build simple projects. Within a year, they're comfortable with a real programming language.
Not at all! Koke Lab is designed for independent learning. Every lesson includes audio guidance, visual examples, and immediate feedback. Our parent dashboard lets you track progress without needing to understand the code yourself. That said, learning alongside your child can be a wonderful bonding experience!
Active coding (solving problems, creating projects) is fundamentally different from passive screen time (watching videos, scrolling). Research shows that interactive, creative screen activities support cognitive development. We recommend 15-30 minutes daily for young learners, with regular breaks built into our lesson structure.
Koke Lab works on any device with a modern web browser — computers, tablets (iPad, Android), and Chromebooks. For younger kids (4-7), tablets work great with our touch-friendly interface. For older kids learning to type code, a computer or Chromebook with a keyboard is recommended.
Every expert programmer was once a beginner. Give your child the structured path they need to succeed.
